About Me

First and foremost, I am a Christian who believes the Bible is the inspired word of God.

After that, I am a husband, a father of two boys with a third little one on the way, and  a developer of cool Firefox and Flock themes.

For five years, I taught High School Math in the Portland, OR area before being recruited to work for the web browser Flock until being laid off five months later due to the current economic downturn.  During this span, I developed some of the most popular Firefox themes under the alias Bodizzle including Aero Fox, Aquatint Black, Abstract Zune, and the Bible Fox themes.  I am currently unemployed trying to figure out what the Lord has in store for me next.

I started this blog after a men’s retreat for my Church, Athey Creek Christian Fellowship, where we listened to the teachings of Gayle Erwin, Author of “The Jesus Style”. The topic of the retreat was “In order to become the greatest, you must become a servant of all.”  Since I love being great, I decided to try out this servant thing so this blog is just my attempt to share what I learn about greatness along the way.

I am reading his book, “The Jesus Style”, and will post my synopsis of each chapter as I go through them.  I will also post my thoughts from things I hear from the Lord as I begin my journey to “greatness”.  I would love to hear from you, whether you agree or disagree, so please leave comments and add to the discussion.
